Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, or simply the Enchanted Tiki Room and formerly Tropical Serenade in some parks is an animatronic show attraction at Disneyland and Walt Disney World'south Magic Kingdom.

Description

Summary

The Enchanted Tiki Room is a sit down-down attraction in Adventureland. In the original Disneyland attraction, the feel begins outside of the building in an enchanted garden. The garden being filled with idols representing deities from Polynesian mythology, each of which comes to life as guests await.

In Walt Disney World, the pre-show exists within a more sheltered area with a fountain and idol of the (fictional) tiki-god of health Citrikua. Two birds named Clyde and Claude sit upon the god'due south helm who chat about outset coming to the Tiki Room'south sunshine pavilion.

The show itself occurs when guess enter the titular Tiki Room and a group of tropical birds are awakened past the cast-members. The birds continue to put on a show for guests, singing with many other birds joining in. Over the course of the prove, singing flowers and tiki statues join in the commemoration until it angers the Polynesian gods causing information technology to tempest. Design

Pieces of concept art from the Haunted Mansion and the Museum of the Weird parallels designs that tin be establish in the Enchanted Tiki Room.

  • Beams carved into the stretching room resemble the chanting totem poles
  • A pot of a cannibal found from the Museum of the Weird resembles Tangaroa.
  • The Museum of the Weird would take featured a carnivorous plant that was alive. The Enchanted Tiki Room features talking plants.

The lightning after the "Hawaiian War Chant" resembles what can exist found in the Haunted Mansion, in the stretching room and the portrait gallery.

Mystic Manor

Mystic Manor features its own enchanted tiki room in the form of the Tribal Arts sleeping room. The Imagineers intended on presenting a darker, more twisted version of the original allure during this scene.

The totem poles speak and sing with the music and one of the tikis in the room plays a drum, not unlike the ones from the Tiki Room. In this scene, some tikis assault the guests and protagonist Albert with blow-darts.

Skipper Canteen

Skipper Canteen is a eatery in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom themed to the Jungle Prowl and the Lodge of Explorers and Adventurers. There is a bookshelf filled with references to different attractions and famous Disney creators. The books reference both the Enchanted Tiki Room and the Haunted Mansion.

The Tropical Hideaway is a eating house in Adventureland at Disneyland themed to the Tiki Room and the Guild of Explorers and Adventurers. A wall in the pavilion is decorated with ores from lodge members, such as Lord Henry Mystic, Harrison Hightower III, and Barnabas T. Bullion. Through those men, there are straight connections with the Haunted Mansion and Phantom Estate.

  • Lord Henry Mystic is the owner of Mystic Estate, an attraction inspired past the Haunted Mansion and the Enchanted Tiki Room
  • Harrison Hightower III is perchance a relative of George Hightower, one of Constance'southward husbands.
